“How much deposit do car rental companies in Pattaya take?”
My answerShane Ruddle, 20+ years in PattayaThe standard is ฿5,000 for a small car, and many companies charge ฿8,000 for a bigger one.
Photograph or film the car all the way round when you pick it up. Some companies do charge for damage that was already there.
The most common dispute is windscreens, which often aren't covered. Read the front of the contract, and pay the waiver if you want the peace of mind.
Ours is still ฿5,000, with unlimited mileage.
