A Night Out in Pattaya Beyond Walking Street
In my younger years, a night out meant Walking Street. It's changed a lot since I arrived, and I haven't had a drink in over 10 years, so these days my evenings out look very different.
Where do I go for a night out now?
A good restaurant, usually for a steak. My favourites:
- Beefeater Steakhouse, off Pattaya Second Road.
- The Market, just in front of Central Festival.
- Gooseberries in Pratumnak, which I've written about in where a restaurant owner eats in Pattaya.
If it's the football you're after, here's where to watch it.
Are the shows like Tiffany's worth it?
Yes, once. I went to Tiffany's when my parents were visiting. It's a very good show and truly unique, and I think it's worth the experience. It's not something I'd do again, though. Once is enough.
If you do want a drink, where should you go?
If I had to go out drinking now, I'd skip Walking Street and go to Soi Buakhao.
