“I work online for a UK company. Which visa should I get?”
My answerShane Ruddle, 20+ years in PattayaMost remote workers use the DTV, the Destination Thailand Visa: five years, up to 180 days per entry, with around ฿500,000 in savings.
Understand what it is: essentially a long-term tourist visa. You're still classed as a tourist, so things like opening a bank account can be a problem, depending on the bank.
Think about what you might want to do in a few years, not just now. If you might start working for a Thai business, that's a different visa.
